Terms of Service — My Book Showroom

1. Agreement to Terms

By installing, activating, or using My Book Showroom (the “Plugin”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Plugin.

These Terms apply to the Plugin software and to the DMRS Tech API and web services at dmrstech.com (collectively, the “Service”). They govern the relationship between you (the site owner or administrator installing the Plugin) and DMRS Tech (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

FREE tier users. If you use the Plugin on the FREE tier without registering or purchasing a license key, these Terms still apply to your use of the Plugin software and, if you ever choose to register, to your use of the DMRS Tech API.

2. Plugin License

Subject to these Terms, DMRS Tech grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use one activated copy of My Book Showroom per license key on a single WordPress site that you own or operate.

The Plugin source code is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2.0 or later (GPL-2.0-or-later), as required by the WordPress Plugin Directory. The GPL grants you rights to use, study, modify, and redistribute the Plugin code. However, the GPL does not grant access to a license key or to the DMRS Tech API; those are governed solely by these Terms.

Development and staging installations operated by the same license holder on the same domain are permitted under a single key. License keys may not be used on more than one live, publicly accessible WordPress site.

3. Subscription Tiers

My Book Showroom is available in three tiers:

PRO	One-time lifetime purchase	All FREE features, plus affiliate rewriting, 3 PRO layouts, 7 CSS cover metaphors, per-book section ordering, audio & video player, Amazon PA-API integration, bulk edit, filter layout, and more.
PUB	One-time lifetime purchase	All PRO features, plus ONIX export/import, publisher-tier tools, and priority support.

“Lifetime” means for as long as DMRS Tech commercially supports and distributes My Book Showroom, or for ten (10) years from your purchase date, whichever is longer. There are no recurring fees for PRO or PUB tiers.

DMRS Tech reserves the right to introduce new optional add-ons or future tiers at separate pricing. Existing purchases are not affected by the introduction of new tiers.

4. Payment and Billing

License keys are purchased through the DMRS Tech website at dmrstech.com. All prices are listed in US dollars unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

Payment is processed by a third-party payment processor (Stripe or PayPal). DMRS Tech does not store your payment card details. Your purchase is complete when a license key is delivered to your registered email address. If you do not receive a key within one hour of a successful payment, contact us at support@dmrstech.com.

Because PRO and PUB are one-time purchases, there are no automatic renewals, no subscriptions to manage, and no recurring charges of any kind.

5. Refund Policy

30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact us within 30 days of your purchase date and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.

To request a refund, email support@dmrstech.com with your order details. We will process the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Refunds are not available for:

Purchases older than 30 days from the original purchase date
Accounts that have materially violated these Terms
Situations where a license key has been shared with or used by parties other than the original purchaser

After a refund is issued, your license key is deactivated and you must remove the Plugin from any sites where it was used under that key. You may continue using the Plugin on the FREE tier.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Plugin or the Service to:

Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
Share, resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your license key to any other person or entity
Use a single license key on more than one live, publicly accessible WordPress site
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary elements of the DMRS Tech API or license validation system beyond what the GPL expressly permits
Attempt to bypass, circumvent, spoof, or disable any licensing, anti-tamper, or security feature of the Plugin or the Service
Use the Plugin to host, display, or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
Conduct automated scraping, load testing, or denial-of-service activity against the DMRS Tech API

7. Intellectual Property

DMRS Tech retains all intellectual property rights in the Plugin software (subject to the GPL as noted in Section 2), the DMRS Tech API, the dmrstech.com website, and all associated trademarks, logos, and branding. The name “My Book Showroom” and the DMRS Tech brand are not licensed to you under the GPL or these Terms.

Content you create using the Plugin — book entries, author profiles, cover images, reader reviews, and all other data stored in your WordPress database — is entirely your own. DMRS Tech makes no claim to any content you create or store using the Plugin.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLUGIN AND THE SERVICE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DMRS TECH EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

DMRS TECH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLUGIN WILL OPERATE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE CONTINUOUSLY AVAILABLE, OR THAT THE PLUGIN OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. If you are a consumer in such a jurisdiction, some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DMRS TECH OR ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL — ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLUGIN OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

DMRS TECH’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE KEY IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. If you are a consumer in such a jurisdiction, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DMRS Tech and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Plugin or the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) your infringement of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

11. Termination

DMRS Tech may suspend or terminate your license key if you materially breach these Terms and fail to cure the breach within 14 days of written notice. Upon termination of a license key, you must cease using any features that require that key. You may continue using the Plugin on the FREE tier.

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by deactivating and removing the Plugin from your WordPress site. Termination by you does not entitle you to a refund beyond the 30-day window described in Section 5.

Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 12 (Governing Law) survive termination of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose laws provide mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived by contract (including but not limited to EU member states, the United Kingdom, Australia, or Canada), those protections apply in addition to these Terms to the extent required by applicable law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms when My Book Showroom adds new capabilities, changes its pricing model, or as otherwise required by law. We will note material changes in the plugin changelog and update the effective date at the top of this page.

We will not retroactively change the terms of a purchase you have already made. If you purchased a PRO or PUB key under a specific set of terms, changes to these Terms do not remove rights you were granted at the time of purchase.

Continuing to use the Plugin after material changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a material change, you may request a refund within 30 days of the change effective date if your original purchase was also within 30 days; otherwise you may discontinue use.
